how to Double your moneys worth- Landing page design

If it is your very first time designing a landing page, you are probably coming across quite a bit of contradictory and repetitive advice.

Truly, there is a strange shortage of quality info on the internet.

In order to make everyone lives easier, I\’ve put together a summary, and very explanatory advice that will give you a good idea of what to do.

Much like a house, constructing a landing page design with the basics is like building without a foundation, it\’s just not going to hold.

Here\’s the breakdown:

- All you contents need to be minimal and have punch

- Ideally, you should only be using 1-2 sentences to explain a point.

- CTA needs to be immediately engaging and direct about it

- You need to add value to things

- You need to add authority and build a trust-able image

All the points above are the primary keys to landing page design. It is important that you feature all these elements to hit the mark.

Now, we don\’t have time to properly address each one, so i will give you a good summery of the last point,

Foundation 5: Demonstrating worth

You have your set price. You don\’t want to go any higher, you can\’t go any lower. How do you make it sound good?

First off, you have to think. How much is your product REALLY worth. This has nothing to do with a number, but more in the terms simply helping a person live.

- Will it saves them hours of work?

- Will it give them information that will take them on a different level of performance?

- Does it makes your life easier?

- Does it help you make money? Is it an investment?

These are things that you cannot put a price on, and since each person is different, your products value will differ from person to person. The trick is encompassing as big a slice as you can in your market.

That is where you have to calculate an accurate medium on your demographics behavioral probabilities and create a landing page design that appeals to as many people as possible.

When creating a sense of value, you key selling points have nothing to do with the product, but the results of the product in relation to the consumer.

This is what you call \”the benefits\”. You might think this is basic information, but a very common misconception about it is that benefits and features are the same. Well… Are they?

Simply put, the features are the functions; what the product physically does, while the benefits are the positive effects of those functions, what the product will do for THEM.

Below are examples of this relationship in effect:

Product: Landing Page Design

Feature: consumer psychology implemented

Benefit: Increased reception from prospects

Feature: Hi quality graphics

Benefit: Authority over competitors, Prestige

This concept is not too hard to understand, the problem people are have is efficiently explaining how their features lead to the benefits.

Stick to the idea of keep your features and benefits side by side, Feature, benefit, feature benefit…etc. Exactly like i did in the example above. This is the most practical way to answer the \”what\’s in it for me\” question that will arise mentally after each statement of your products functionalities.

Next let\’s take a look at your price.

Try to appear as flexible as possible. When someone figures out that you have an excellent product or service, lowering the price as your sales copy progresses is a good way to surpass their expectations, thus making your product even more desirable.

If you do this, people will instantly feel like they saved some money.

Just because you can\’t go any lower does not mean that you cannot make it appear that way. Raise the amount initially, then drop it, simple as that. Everyone loves having the math of involved done for them, so tell them what exactly how much of a deal they are getting.
